Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Department of Anesthesiology is seeking board-certified and/or fellowship-trained (eg Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Regional) applicants for the position of Academic Anesthesiologist, and the department is open to new graduates; Assistant Professor or higher, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Time will be mostly spent on the provision of clinical care, with other allotted time for teaching and administrative duties. We are an academic practice, and it includes involvement in teaching medical students and residents.

The anesthesiology department provides anesthesia services at the primary teaching hospital, University Medical Center, which is a Level 1 Trauma and Regional Burn Center in the West Texas area, as well as a High-Risk Maternal and Neonatal Facility. We provide anesthesia for all types of OR cases, including cardiothoracic & vascular, pediatric, major trauma & burn, and obstetric, as well as for non-OR procedures in Cath & EP Lab, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology & MRI.
